CARNIVAL CHESTNUT

Ingredients

300 g Mix of natural flours for Mulino Marello cakes

100 g sugar

100 g seed oil

2 tablespoons milk (if needed)

Half a glass of grappa or rum

Half a sachet of baking powder

2 eggs 

Procedure

Mix the flour with the sugar and yeast in the mixer or by hand.

Combine the eggs, oil, milk and half a glass of liqueur.

Knead until a soft and elastic dough forms.

If necessary, adjust with milk or flour, the mixture can vary depending on the powder used or the size of the eggs.

Form rolls and cut dumplings about 2 centimeters long.

Roll them between your hands to form balls.

Heat the seed oil in a pan approximately 22 cm large and with high edges.

Fry a few chestnuts at a time, making them golden.

Place them on absorbent paper and serve with a sprinkling of icing sugar.
