Ingredients for 1 cup
4 tablespoons of Saracenotto Mulino Marello
1 liter of water to taste
Half an organic lemon
10-15 cherries
Procedure
Toast the seeds in a small pan over low heat. Within a few minutes the buckwheat grains will be perfectly browned.
You can prepare in quantity and store them in a jar, otherwise use the necessary quantity immediately. Boil a liter of water, add the beans and leave to infuse for about 10 minutes. Filter with a sieve. Pour into a jug, water bottle or container. Add the sliced lemon and pitted cherries.
Place in the refrigerator and let rest for at least 3-4 hours before consuming. This flavored water will keep for two days.
Curiosity
In summer there is a need to hydrate and above all to do it in an intelligent and healthy way. So no sugary and carbonated drinks, prefer waters flavored with fruit, vegetables and aromatic herbs. They can be made with simple water or starting from an infusion or green tea.
Sobacha is a typical Japanese drink which in Italy is known as buckwheat infusion. It is a very beneficial drink, ideal both in winter to take advantage of the warming properties of buckwheat, but also in summer.
Buckwheat, in fact, contains beneficial antioxidants for the circulation and this infusion therefore becomes ideal for supporting the circulation exhausted by the heat. I also remember that this pseudo cereal is very energizing and purifying, rich in iron, magnesium and potassium. This drink is therefore also useful for purifying and flaming, to counteract stomach acidity and to provide relief in general.
The union with cherries is not accidental, since this fruit is our ally in the heat given the significant potassium content and the ability to combat edema and lymphatic stasis.
The flavor of cherry sobacha is very pleasant. You can perceive the nutty flavor of the toasted buckwheat, the acidic and fresh note of the lemon together with the slightly sweet flavor of the cherries.
Take it with you to work and consume it throughout the day.
A new and original way to use buckwheat grains!
